Scope and Contents The Merritt Papers contain clippings that Merritt collected from The Christian Index during the years 1915, 1917, 1920, 1921, 1922, 1923, and 1924. The 1915 and 1917 clippings are related to B.Y.P.U. events and news. The 1920-24 clippings are mainly “Our Georgia Baptist Sunday Schools” pages from the time that Merritt was a field director for the Sunday School Department. William J. Morcock Papers

Scope and Content Note

The William J. Morcock Collection consists of sermons and daily business dealings of the Morcock family. Twelve folders contain sermons and essays written by Morcock, spanning the period 1849-1874. Three folders contain receipts for purchases made by the family between 1851 and 1895. A journal/account book covering 1870-1879, a small collection of correspondence from 1855 to 1863, and some miscellaneous writings of or about other members of the family complete the collection.
