James White Merritt Papers
William J. Morcock Papers
The William J. Morcock Collection consists of sermons and daily business dealings of the Morcock family. Twelve folders contain sermons and essays written by Morcock, spanning the period 1849-1874. Three folders contain receipts for purchases made by the family between 1851 and 1895. A journal/account book covering 1870-1879, a small collection of correspondence from 1855 to 1863, and some miscellaneous writings of or about other members of the family complete the collection.

King, Jr. and Frederick Eby (1956) pertaining to a biographical sketch of Newman for the Encyclopedia of Southern Baptists; Newman’s lecture notes on church history; and the book A Manual of Church History by T. J. Morgan (1880).
