Abner H. Tippett Collection
The Tippett Papers are divided into six sections, which were removed from a notebook. All relate to Southern Baptist church organizations and activities. Materials are primarily related to Sunday School and Training Union in the late 1950s and early 1960s and include materials for teachers, lesson outlines, attendance contests, and information on enlargement campaigns.
Albert Henry Newman Collection
The Albert Henry Newman Collection contains correspondence to and from Newman, a prominent Baptist Church Historian, from 1926 to 1933; correspondence between Spencer B. King, Jr. and Frederick Eby (1956) pertaining to a biographical sketch of Newman for the Encyclopedia of Southern Baptists; Newman’s lecture notes on church history; and the book A Manual of Church History by T. J. Morgan (1880).
Albert T. Spalding Collection
The Albert T. Spalding Collection includes a book, journals, account books, personal writings, and papers from Spalding’s time as a Baptist pastor and Mercer University trustee.
Alec F. Thompson Collection
This collection includes files from different Baptist churches, such as Groove Level Baptist, Beaufort Baptist, and Woodland Hills Baptist Church.
Allen Beza Comish Collection
The Allen Beza Comish Collection contains Comish’s personal papers, which includes budgets, meeting notes, and reservations from his time at Mercer University.
Allison James Johnson Collection
The Allison James Johnson Collection consists of two large, heavy ledgers. The accounts have been obscured by hundreds of clippings of secular and religious import, most of which are undated. Some dates can be found: 1905, 1926, and 1929.

Augustus O. Bacon Collection
