The Allison James Johnson Collection consists of two large, heavy ledgers. The accounts have been obscured by hundreds of clippings of secular and religious import, most of which are undated. Some dates can be found: 1905, 1926, and 1929.

Scope and Contents The Kaderly collection was acquired through at least two deposits, one shortly after Kaderly’s death and the other in May 2000. Twelve manuscript letters are related to Robert Southey, John Foster, George Gilfillan, and Horatio Smith. In addition, there are copies of letters by Southey that were published or transcribed. The Ebb G. Kilpatrick, Jr. Collection contains biographical data, correspondence, and sermon notes from Kilpatrick’s career. Kilpatrick’s sermon notes are listed at the item level.

The James H. Kilpatrick Collection contains a scrapbook. This was apparently given to his son, William Heard Kilpatrick, upon his death in 1908. Inside are clippings, mostly from The Christian Index, but there are also clippings from the Texas Baptist Herald. There is a barely legible index of these clippings on the inside of the front and back covers. Topics var clippings and include church government, missions, temperance, and both amusing and moralistic anecdotes.

Scope and Contents The Langley collection contains one item, the journal of Thomas E. Langley, written from January 1, 1859-December 29, 1860 in Fort Valley, Georgia. The journal contains accounts of routine, daily life, including Langley’s travels in middle Georgia to preach or visit family. Scope and Contents The William H. Kilpatrick Collection of consists of papers of William Heard Kilpatrick from 1875, 1889-1969. The papers include clippings, correspondence, class notes, lectures, printed material, sermon notes, speeches, radio scripts, and Kilpatrick’s writings on progressive education.
