Biographical / Historical
Ebb G. Kilpatrick, Jr., was born to Mr. and Mrs. Ebb G. Kilpatrick, Sr., on July 25, 1931, in Louisville, Kentucky. He graduated from Mercer University (1953), the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (1956), and Iliff School of Theology (1971). He was a Georgia Army National Guard Chaplain from 1964 to 1985. Kilpatrick went on to become a marriage and family therapist after studying at Mercer University School of Medicine. He spent his career counseling couples and serving in pastorates around Georgia and Indiana. He taught several courses on marriage and family therapy and wrote several papers. Kilpatrick married his wife, Allie, and the couple had 2 children, Galen and Gray. Ebb G. Kilpatrick, Jr., died in 2001.
