Edith West Brown Papers
Included with Brown’s notes and writings are many photocopies of documents held at the archives of the Foreign [now International] Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, Richmond, Virginia.
Timothy F. Callaway Papers
The Timothy F. Callaway Collection is comprised of sermon notes, a face stamp, clippings, correspondence, and essays from Mr. Callaway’s career. Series 3, Mixed Sermons (Box 3), remains unprocessed.
Albert Lindsey Cardwell Papers
The Cardwell Papers contain articles written by Cardwell for Church Administration, Church Training, The Deacon, Home Life, The Christian Index, and several Mercer University publications, including the Mercerian. In addition, there are pamphlets and units in three issues of Source, a Training Union study guide, written by Cardwell from 1965-1985. The articles were compiled and given to Mercer by Dr. Cardwell.

The collection mainly contains McConnell’s sermon notes and outlines from 1856-1929.
Lewis Noles Papers
These papers offer information on the general life at Mercer from 1986-1990, which includes the Godsey-GBC Conflict of 1987-1988 sparked by Mercer being named one of the “Top Ten Party Schools” by Playboy magazine. Clippings from various local and state newspapers outline the attacks on and defense of Mercer during those years. The collections also include some artifacts, such as shirts, buttons, and bumper stickers from the time.
