Ways to Give
An investment in the Mercer University Libraries is a lasting “gift of knowledge.”
The Mercer University Libraries serve as the university’s axis of research, scholarship, and community. The Library system is comprised of the Swilley Graduate and Professional Library (SGPL) located on the Atlanta campus, the Jack Tarver Library located on the Macon campus, the cloud-based Electronic Resources Library (ERL), and the Regional Academic Centers libraries (RAC) located on the Henry and Douglas County campuses.
The Libraries build collections that endure from generation to generation, gathering the wisdom of humankind and documenting new ideas and discoveries. The university community can reach back across time via traditional collections, and beyond the physical boundaries of the campus via the Internet, to the future.
Understanding the needs of today’s library users, the Mercer University Libraries have implemented a Patron-Driven Acquisitions program, which utilizes the expertise of Mercer faculty and students to inform the purchase of primarily cloud-based resources that are not restricted to print items housed in geo-physical locations. Rather, these resources are accessible by all members of members of the Mercer community, regardless of location.
Financial support toward the purchasing of patron-driven, electronic resources is essential for the Libraries to attain excellence as it connects the global twenty-first century library user to teaching, learning, scholarship, and service. Your support allows the Mercer University Libraries the flexibility to provide the means of purchasing these resources as well as maintaining facilities and technology in support of Mercer students and faculty. Your gift makes a difference!
