The Mercer University Libraries will begin our regular Fall hours beginning Monday, August 21 for the Swilley Library and the Douglas and Henry Centers. Regular Fall hours for the Tarver Library will begin Tuesday, August 22.

Juneteenth (Freedom Day) June 19

The Mercer University Libraries celebrates Juneteenth in honor of our African-American students, faculty, and staff. Juneteenth is a federal holiday that celebrates the freedom of slaves in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865. During Juneteenth, check out the list of films, books, and web resources to learn more.

Congratulations recipients of the Valerie B. Edmonds Student Research Award: Winner Allison Whitehead and Runner-Up Daniel Stein

Congratulations to our 2023 Valerie B. Edmonds Student Research Award winners! The winner is Allison Whitehead for Income-Based Policies for Reducing Poverty in Macon, GA. The runner-up is Daniel Stein for French Immigrants’ Influence on the Culture of Art in Early Augusta. This award was presented at Honors Convocation on April 21st.
