School Papers and Notes, 1932
Scope and Contents
The Charles Christopher CoCroft papers consist of six folders of papers dating from 1928-1932. The first folder contains primarily correspondence between Chris and his father, Christopher Columbus CoCroft. Other folders include school notes on Mary Shelley and papers on Beethoven, Shakespeare, and various forms of drama.
Also included in the papers are small documents such as a Washington Library (Macon, Georgia) card, various receipts, a photograph, fraternity cards, and a grade report. There are also documents relating to the Mercer Glee Club, including a photograph of the club, sheet music, Glee Club envelopes, and a sheet music writing tablet.
There is also a folder on Joe Jenkins, a student from 1890. The folder includes correspondence between Jenkins and his father, detailing a fight that Joe participated in at Mercer. It also includes faculty papers and letters involving the incident.
